Kyma Ship Performance (hereinafter, KSP) is a system that integrates a wide range of data obtained from vessels to continuously monitor operational performance. It is positioned as a foundation for considering energy-efficient operations and performance evaluation.
This webpage outlines KSP’s key features and expected use scenarios.
KSP is a system for centralized management of a wide variety of onboard sensor data. It integrates GPS position data, weather data from an anemometer, and fuel flow data from flow meters, and supports calculating indicators such as shaft power, fuel efficiency, CO2 emissions, and EEOI, as well as generating reports on them.
By enabling previously dispersed data to be checked on a single screen or in a single report, it can reduce the burden of organizing operating conditions.
In some situations, actual data alone makes it difficult to judge whether performance is good or poor.
With KSP, reference curves (baselines) based on land tests and towing-tank test data can be overlaid with actual operational data. By identifying deviations from the baseline, it becomes possible to structure and assess whether changes in fuel consumption are driven by external conditions or by changes in the hull’s performance.
As explored above, the core strengths and focus of each system vary significantly. Finding the right solution starts with assessing your fleet's specific management goals and operational scale. To simplify your choice, we have categorized top-tier vessel management software by company type. Explore our recommendations below to find the ideal fit for your organization.

KSP is built on a highly scalable data infrastructure.
By using Danelec’s IoT gateway, Danelec Collect, high-frequency data can be transmitted securely from onboard sensors to shore. It is scalable enough to support up to 1,000 tags (configured to meet customer requirements).
Data integration via the API (Fleet Insights API) is also a key capability. This enables flexible system design to meet company needs—for example, importing acquired performance data into existing ERPs or in-house dashboards.
Kyma Online Plus (the MRV module) obtained Verifavia certification on June 1, 2017*, and supports creating MRV reports in compliance with EU Regulation 2015/757. Because the EU MRV regulation has since been amended, the scope of support for the latest requirements should be confirmed before implementation.
Information on costs and pricing is not published on the official website. For details, please contact the provider.
Implementation costs and pricing are not publicly disclosed on the official website. Because conditions vary depending on fleet size and scope of use, details need to be confirmed with the provider through an individual inquiry.
One expected use scenario is when fuel efficiency deterioration is flagged in a monthly report, but the cause can only be explained as an impact of external conditions.
By using KSP, actual values for output, speed, and fuel-consumption can be compared with the baseline, and performance changes can be structured as numerical evidence. This makes it easier to explain what is behind changes in fuel efficiency and provides inputs for considering hull condition and maintenance actions.
*The above is purely an intended use scenario and does not represent an actual implementation case.
